Morticia Siren - Lacy Sunshine/Incy Wincy

Good afternoon peeps!

How are you this fine, lovely day?

Our challenge this week over at Incy Wincy is Sea, Sun & Sand and our fab sponsor is Lacy Sunshine who is giving the lucky winner a prize of 3 digis!

I chose a lovely mermaid called Morticia Siren and here she is...

Items needed...

Digital stamp: Morticia Siren - Lacy Sunshine
Card stock: white, light purple
Promarkers: Almond, Blue Pearl, Cool Grey 1, Cool Grey 3, Cool Grey 5, Frosted Jade*, Oasis*, Orchid, Purple, Putty
Gems: clear

*Limited Edition colours

I could have coloured her dark and brooding just like Morticia, but I thought the shades of aqua and purple would work really well and I'm pleased with how she has turned out.

Wix Moonlighter - Lacy Sunshine/Incy Wincy

Good afternoon peeps!

It's a very wet, and I mean very wet day here in Norfolk. It started so well this morning and now it has gone and spoiled itself.

I'm supposed to be nipping into Cromer later. I dropped my car off for new tyres and brakes this morning. I think I will pick it up and come straight home, no point in getting wet for the sake of a watch battery!

Onto important matters. I managed to get my Incy Wincy DT make photographed this morning. This week the challenge is 'Mom's the word'. I understand that in the US, Canada and Australia it's coming up to their Mother's Day. We have a fantastic sponsor for you - Lacy Sunshine! The oh so lucky winner can get to choose 3 digis from her shop.

I chose Wix Moonlighter and I did the card so that it could also do as a birthday card. Here is the little sweetie...

What you need...

Digital stamp: Wix Moonlighter - Lacy Sunshine
Card stock: white
Promarkers: Arctic Blue, Azure, Blush, Buttercup, Eggnog, French Navy, Fresh Bloom, Ice Grey 1, Ice Grey 3, Ice Grey 5, Midnight Blue, Pineapple Crush, Pink Carnation, Powder Blue, Sand Dune, Sky Blue, Sunflower
Gems: blues
Adhesives

What you do...

Re-size the image to suit and add a sentiment.
Print onto white card and colour in.
Mat onto an A6 blank and trim any excess.
Add a few gems to finish.

Of course you needn't just do this for Mother's Day. I'm sure any girl would love this image. Click on the badge below to take you to the Lacy Sunshine shop.

There are some wonderful inspirational cards by the Design Teamies. Why not pop on over to Incy Wincy for a peek? Good luck if you decide to enter!

Cemetarie & Bunny - Lacy Sunshine/Incy Wincy

Good afternoon peeps!

Well we have another great challenge for you over at Incy Wincy Designs, this week being a sketch challenge; believe me when I say I found this one really difficult.

I'm a CAS person so I would not normally do a layout such as this one. Then again, it is a challenge isn't it? We all have to step out of our comfort zone sometimes :o)

This weeks sponsor is the fab Lacy Sunshine Stamps and the lucky winner will get a prize of  3 digis!

Here is the sketch designed by the lovely Karen...

...and how I tackled it...

Isn't she adorable? The image is called Cemetarie & Bunny and she can be found here.

I decided to make her into a more 'girly' Halloween card, I got my inspiration for the colours from the fab Frankie & Friends Collection by Simple Stories. I kept her colouring to lilacs, aqua and greys with that little pop of burnt orange for the bunny eyes and patch. I loved colouring her in :o)

Here is a list of the items you need...

Card stock: black, white
Digi stamp: Cemetarie & Bunny (Lady Heather's Curiosities) - Lacy Sunshine
Patterned papers: Frankie & Friends 12" x 12" Collection Pack - Simple Stories
Promarkers: Amethyst, Burnt Orange, Ginger, Ice Grey 1,2,3,4 & 5, Lilac, Lime Twist, Orchid, Pastel Beige, Pastel Green
Adhesives

The Pastel Green Promarker is more of a subtle aqua than green, but it was perfect for this image.

I used a white 'happy' rub-on and a small Halloween die-cut from my stash for the sentiment.

The black roses were made by hand-cutting a rough circle and then cutting it into a spiral. Next scrunch it and then roll it up and add a spot of glue to the base to secure. Simple!

Why not head on over to Incy Wincy and check out what my talented teamies have done and have a go at the challenge?

That's me for the moment, thanks for popping by :o) xxx
