Watermelon Party Set Part 1

Happy Sunday all!

In this month's issue of Crafts Beautiful (June 2016) I have a cute little party set that I created using the Silhouette Curio. As I did four makes, I thought I would split them into two posts.

Here is the party invitation...

...and the 3D melon slice...

The full projects can be found in the current issue or here on the Crafts Beautiful website. This cute set is perfect for a summer party.

You can't really see in the top photo, but the 'party' is printed and then embossed, all done by the Curio.

I hope you like the first part of my mouthwatering makes, I'll be back soon with part 2.

Thanks for looking! x

Poof!

Good afternoon peeps!

Before I show you my recent make, I'd like to say hello to my newest follower Tracy. Hi Tracy! Thank you for following me :o)

I'd like to show a simple card I have done for my friend Christine's birthday, she has a fab sense of humour and is always going on about how time is flying by.

Items needed...

Stamps: Tim Holtz Crazy Thoughts (CMS238) - Stampers Anonymous
Promarkers: Molten Red*
Ink pad: Onyx Black - Versafine
Baker's twine: black, red

* limited edition colour

I did the wording on my PC and then stamped the 'poof' above it. I also added the sentiment '29 again?' inside the card.

She loved it!

Just before I sign off, I'd like to introduce to you my two new girls, Hyacinth and Daisy....

Hyacinth
Daisy
They are in quarantine at the moment, just making sure they have no mites or anything untoward, plus it means that Babs and Hattie can see and get used to them being around before I let them out to free range. Daisy is already laying little eggs.. awww, bless!

Okay, that's me for now. Thanks for looking and I'll be back soon. xx

Some of my makes from PaperCrafter 95

Good morning all!

Issue 95 of PaperCrafter is in the shops now, and this month you get a free set of dies (bunting and a Happy Birthday present) and two double sided embossing boards (zigzags/butterflies and hearts/leaves).

I'm so chuffed that one of my makes using the free bunting die is this month's cover star! I have lots of projects in the mag using the free gifts.

I was also asked to test the new Silhouette Curio and I came up with three different projects, one using embossing and printing, one using die-cutting and another using the print a card feature. Here is a peek at the projects.

Using the print and emboss feature
Using the die cutting feature
Using the print a card feature
You can find these and all my other projects (and there are a lot of them) in the current issue. These Curio projects with step by step instructions can be found on the PaperCrafter website, click here to take you to the page.

Don't forget lots of inspiration and ideas are available on the website and you can follow PaperCrafter on Facebook and Pinterest too!

I'm off now to get on with some commissions. Thank you for popping by and I hope to be back soon!

Be Happy & Smile

Morning peeps!

I'm back with a lovely elegant card I created using the gorgeous Sea Breeze collection by Kaisercraft.

Items needed...

Die cuts: Sea Breeze Collectables - Kaisercraft
Punch: corner rounder
Ribbon: aqua
Gems: clear
Adhesives

If you need a quick and simple card, then die cut pieces that can be purchased as part of a collection are wonderful. I also have the 12"x 12" patterned papers and sticker sheet and they are to die for. The collection is jam packed with florals, leaves, wording and wood effect in sumptuous aquas, turquoises and browns.

This turned out to be such an elegant card, perfect for Auntie Maude's birthday!

I hope you like my little make. Thank you for calling by!

Cute Elephant

Afternoon lovelies!

I hope you are all well and enjoying your Bank Holiday (if you are in the UK & R.O.I). If not, I hope you are enjoying your Monday!

Here is a cute little elephant card I made for my adorable niece's second birthday.

I used a gorgeous Craft Asylum die-set by Sizzix called Elephant Duo. This card features the smaller of the two elephants.

Items needed...

Dies: Craft Asylum Elephant Duo #660496 - Sizzix
Card stock: aqua, black, pale pink, white
Gems: clear
Adhesives

I die cut the elephant from a white panel of card, slightly smaller than the blank and then inlaid the coloured elephant pieces into it. I love the way the border of the little heart dies have embossed around the actual cut.

I'm really pleased because she was visiting up from London yesterday and she adored the little card :o)

I'm going to sign off for now, thanks for stopping by and I hope to catch you soon! xxx

"Sarcasm"

Hi there folks!

I'm a bit late in announcing the new challenge over at Incy Wincy. I've been up to North Yorkshire to spend some time with my mum and I've had a few things to catch up on and sort out since getting back.

Well I'm here now and our fab challenge this time is 3-2-1 - Go! This means you have to use 3 papers, 2 buttons and 1 ribbon.

We have a couple of great sponsors for you, Dr Digi and Ppinky Dolls.

I chose the Funny Sentiment Sheet 1 by Dr Digi...

Items needed...

Card stock: white
Patterned papers: Plus One Amy Tangerine - American Crafts
Buttons: white
Ribbon: black
Adhesives

I know a few people who would really appreciate this card - ha ha!

There are 11 great sentiments on the sheet and at only £1.50 is really good value.

Cute Picture Frame!

Hello peeps!

Happy St. Patrick's day to you all (especially to June & Stephen)!

Our cat Bazoo makes an appearance in the current issue of PaperCrafter (#93). I was asked to design five projects using items from my craft stash with a cup cake theme. One was to come up with a cute frame using a cup cake wrapper.

I couldn't find a white frame anywhere (typical, when you don't need one there are hundreds to be found). I bought a black one, sanded it, added a couple of coats of white acrylic paint, added a coat of crackle varnish and then another of white paint. They effect is lovely and I'm really pleased with it.

I created a bright aqua background and added some leaf shapes and a stem in bright green card. I managed to find some gorgeous flower printed cup cake cases. I stuck a lovely black and white photo of Bazoo in the centre of the case.

The little cup cake topper sticks are part of the collection too. Check out the current issue of PaperCrafter (93) to find out all the items used and details on how to make. Of course the mag is jam packed with lots of other great projects, ideas, hints and tips. The free gift this month is a 10 in 1 score board and there are some great projects in the mag on what you can make with it.

Well, I'm off now, loads to do, thank you for popping by! TTFN! x

So chuffed! As you may or may not know, I am a regular designer for PaperCrafter magazine. My cute little Easter bunny card has made front cover of the current issue - whoopee!

This quick and simple card was made using papers and stickers by Doodlebug, it would be a great little card to create if you have lots to send out.

Okay, that's all from me for the moment. Thanks for dropping by, ttfn!

Bee Mine - Cricut® Explore Air

Good afternoon my lovelies!

After catching up with all my commissions for PaperCrafter, Crafts Beautiful and Homemaker magazines (phew!), I've actually had some time to have a little play.

As I haven't used my Explore in a while, I thought I would have a browse through the images and I came across the cutest little bee ever and made this simple little card...

Items needed...

Digital die images: Create a Critter 2 - Heart Bee (#M3AA27) & (#M3AA2) - Cricut®
Vinyl: Midnight - Cricut®
Card stock: pale pink, mid pink, pale peach, mid grey, black
Pearls: pink
Adhesives

Isn't he just the adorable? I liked the colour of the example in the Design Space library so I kept it the same. You may think this is a Valentine card, but you could send it anytime to that special someone you have your eye on (wink).

I'm now going to go through some of my stamp stash, have a play and get inky!

Thank you for popping by! TTFN! x
